classified material
New to classified? Dive in below. We suggest starting with a topic's overview, then its deep dives. But there are no rules. You can also expand this post for a running list of stuff to date.
What is classified?
This newsletter is an exercise in classification. We take a genre or category and dissect it, trying to figure out what differentiates it from other things that are similar. What’s the difference between Ska and Reggae? Brutalism and Bauahaus? Every week we give an overview of a topic, and follow it with a week of “deep-dives” into examples and exemplars of the genre. Every second Friday we release a mix of the music genre just covered as a podcast to get you really steeped in it.
